Description of Award: Each year, Penn State Altoona seeks to recognize and honor the distinguished contributions of the faculty through the presentation of the Fred Allen Womack and Frances Sue Zimmerman Womack Book Award. The awardees receive a plaque and a $500 cash prize. Applications are due March 1 and should be addressed to the Associate Dean for Research.
Purpose of Award: This award honors and recognizes a faculty member at Penn State Altoona for the best work of scholarship or creative writing published during the previous calendar year.
Eligibility: Consideration for this award shall be given to all faculty members at Penn State Altoona who have had a work of scholarship or creative writing published during the previous calendar year. The award may not be given to the same faculty member a second time.
Number of recipients: The number of awards made shall be determined by the selection committee.
Selection Procedure: Recipients of this award shall be selected by a committee appointed by the Associate Dean for Research at Penn State Altoona.
