Nearly 2,700 students call Penn State Altoona home. With its 21 degrees, 60+ student clubs, NCAA Division III athletics, and two campus locations, Penn State Altoona is an exciting living and learning community.
The Penn State Altoona Alumni Society held its eighth annual Winter Plunge event on Jan. 25, 2020, on campus. About fifty participants took part in games and a frozen t-shirt challenge, met Bear E. White, and snacked on pizza and snow cones. A total of $7,027 was raised for Penn State Altoona's Ivyside Eats food pantry through the event.
Penn State Altoona held its fall 2019 commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 21, in the Adler Athletic Complex.
Nearly 75 students participated in the ceremony. Richard DeDonato, a 1977 alumnus, delivered the keynote address. DeDonato has held marketing and advertising positions with numerous companies throughout his career, including his current position with Ecolab. He also is the author of a series of children's books.
