The Long Awards
In 1989, Ted J. Long of Altoona donated significantly to Penn State Altoona, making it possible to establish five annual awards for excellence for five members of the campus community. All full-time members of the faculty, the administration, staff assistants, and technical service staff are eligible to receive these awards, and any member of the campus community may nominate candidates.
The Grace D. Long Faculty Excellence Award was created to recognize two full-time faculty members who—by their performance as teachers and in the areas of advising, scholarship, research, and service—demonstrate excellence in their profession.
