Career Aspiration
It’s to find a job and be able to apply what I’ve learned in the IT classroom. It’s mainly also to see how technology works in the workforce.

What inspired you to participate as a Penn State Altoona Global Fellow?
I was in need of an internship to graduate and was having a hard time landing one. Thankfully, I got the opportunity to do the internship this spring and since it went by the school it was a good fit.

Most memorable moment from the Global Fellows Program
I don’t necessarily have a most memorable moment from the program. But I am enjoying the process of learning more about the effects of privacy.

Personal Mission Statement
I want to keep learning on cybersecurity, so I become a more well-rounded person on technology and security.

I wanted to learn about American business cultures and have a meaningful work experience. I also thought that this program could be a chance to improve my English skills.

Most memorable moment from the Global Fellows Program
It was very pleasurable to meet new friends and get to know them. The most memorable moment was talking with them about a variety of topics, such as American and Korean culture.

I believe that while searching for a career you need to set yourself apart from the rest of the applicants and I feel the Global Fellowship program was the way to do that.

Most memorable moment from the Global Fellows Program
My most memorable moment would have to be meeting all of the students that I am working with. I got to make some good friends while also learning about Korean culture.

My personal mission statement is to inspire people to be the best person they can be. I would also like to help spread positivity because I feel that there isn’t enough.

What inspired you to participate as a Penn State Altoona Global Fellow?
I was interested in working with Sheetz, and I wanted to gain experience in what Sheetz does as a company. Also to work with new people and with my friends on this project and amazing opportunity.

Most memorable moment from the Global Fellows Program
I enjoyed the time working on this project with Zach and Jin. Riding to Sheetz with Nic and definitely going for breakfast after our morning meetings.

Personal Mission Statement
To me. I hope that I come off as a great person. I want to be there for others and show forth a great work ethic. My purpose in life is to work hard, be great to others, have a great family and just to mainly be happy. Wherever I go in this life I just want to be happy. Life is short so just enjoy the little things and the moments that come along with them. Thank you all for an amazing project and good luck with whatever comes your way in this crazy life.

I want to work in the field of digital sound and help produce music by developing Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software using sound synthesis technology.

What inspired you to participate as a Penn State Altoona Global Fellow?
Through this program, I think my English communication skill and writing ability have improved. It was also a meaningful time to learn about American culture. Through the process of preparing proposals while researching data on U.S. information protection laws and retail industry, I am happy to raise awareness of personal information protection.

Most memorable moment from the Global Fellows Program
I was so glad because there were many opportunities to meet various people in this program. Especially when I was invited to the house of the friends from my Korean Culture Class, we had a meal and played. It was a valuable experience for me. Also, my memories with SWU students are most meaningful.

I plan well and execute well. Based on my strengths, I want to be a project manager who is responsible for the planning and execution of the project.

Also, when I was in charge of the server part of the project, I was happy to see how the data moved. So I am interested in server development.

What inspired you to participate as a Penn State Altoona Global Fellow?
I have experienced a team project with my Korean friends. Through the project, I could learn and grow.

Also, I thought that it would be a nice experience if given the opportunity to collaborate with friends from other countries. I thought I could improve my English skills and make friends.

Most memorable moment from the Global Fellows Program
In Korean culture class, SWU met nice friends. They helped us adapt and made us happy. Especially, I was thankful to experience American culture when they invited us to their home.

I am very interested in network security and system admin positions. However, in the future, I would like to have a career in penetration testing and ethical hacking.

What inspired you to participate as a Penn State Altoona Global Fellow?
I have several peers who did this program in the past, and they all loved it and learned a lot of valuable communication skills. For me, I am very excited to get the opportunity to work with international students.

Most memorable moment from the Global Fellows Program
We have a lot of fun as a big group. The most memorable moment was the first time we visited Sheetz Corporate Office as a group. The first thing I noticed was how well everyone got along, there was an instant connection between the two groups.
