Entry to the Penn State Altoona Accounting major requires the completion of the following eight entry-to-major courses:
- ACCTG 211: Financial and Managerial Accounting for Decision Making (4 credits)
- ECON 102: Introductory Microeconomic Analysis and Policy GS (3 credits)
- ENGL 015: Rhetoric and Composition GWS or ENGL 030H: Honors Rhetoric and Composition GWS (3 credits)
- FIN 301: Corporate Finance (3 credits)
- MATH 110: Techniques of Calculus I GQ or MATH 140: Calculus with Analytic Geometry GQ (4 credits)
- MGMT 301: Basic Management Concepts (3 credits)
- MKTG 301: Principles of Marketing (3 credits)
- SCM 200: Introduction to Statistics for Business GQ or STAT 200: Elementary Statistics GQ (4 credits)
Entry also requires a 2.00 or higher cumulative grade-point average.
