Altoona Sustainability Council to honor leaders in conservation efforts

Penn State Altoona’s Sustainability Council will recognize three local leaders in conservation and sustainability efforts on Thursday, April 21, at noon in room 150 of the Hawthorn Building.

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona’s Sustainability Council will recognize three local leaders in conservation and sustainability efforts at noon on Thursday, April 21, in Room 150 of the Hawthorn Building.

Ian Marshall, professor of English and environmental studies at Penn State Altoona, will be honored as Outstanding Educator. Donna Fisher, manager of the Blair County Conservation District, will be recognized as Outstanding Conservation Professional. Marcia Bonta, a naturalist and writer from Tyrone, will be named Outstanding Conservation Author.

There will be a brief ceremony to recognize their achievements. Penn State Altoona faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend.
