ALTOONA, Pa. — Harriett Gaston, coordinator of minority programs in Penn State Altoona’s Division of Undergraduate Studies, will present "Former Slaves Surviving and Thriving in Central PA" at the Hollidaysburg Public Library on Thursday, March 12 at 6 p.m.
As part of her presentation, Gaston will share information about ex-slaves who came to Blair County before and after the Civil War.
