Nicholas Pyeatt earned his Ph.D. in Political Science, with a primary focus on American politics, from the University of North Carolina in 2010. He joined Penn State Altoona that same year and was promoted to associate professor in 2016. He has been actively involved at the University in a variety of roles including serving on the Faculty Senate, the University Senate and the Division of Arts and Humanities Executive Committee. His primary research interests are primary elections and gender and elections.
