Maddie Quinn is a multidisciplinary artist from Altoona. Her work focuses on storytelling by investigating her relationships with the people and places around her hometown at night, exploring themes of mystery, duality, and the mundane. She earned her MFA in Art with a concentration in drawing and painting from Penn Statein 2022, her MA in Art with a concentration in drawing and painting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2019, and her BA in Visual Art Studies from Penn State Altoona in 2018. Quinn is an assistant teaching professor of visual arts at Penn State Altoona and was the Emerging Artist in Residence for the 2023 spring semester.

When not making art, Quinn participates in community arts programs and is involved in committees at the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, helping to make art more accessible and engaging to our community. She loves photography history, antiques, animals, concerts, new experiences, and learning new things.

Fun fact: Quinn curated the exhibition, Your Brother Bud, that is currently in the Sheetz and McLanahan galleries in Misciagna, on view through September 6. She also has three cats.
