Kerrie Coleman has been a nurse for twenty-six years and a nurse educator for eleven years. She found her passion by marrying nursing and teaching and has enjoyed the process from curriculum development to program director. Her experience spans pediatric intensive care, rehabilitation, and nursing education.
Coleman has been teaching within the College of Nursing RN-BSN program for five years and is excited to continue teaching in the GNURS/Second Degree program facilitating Community Health at Penn State Altoona. In addition to her role as a nurse educator, she is writing a book on the useability of nursing theory for the advanced practice nurse post-pandemic.
Fun fact: She loves fly fishing and enjoys spending time with family and two golden retrievers, who have found a love for the Penn State Altoona campus, especially the creek!
