What is Connect?
Connect is Penn State Altoona's tool to empower students to discover opportunities and take charge of their own co-curricular journey with an intuitive hub of interest-based engagement experiences. Through Connect, you can join organizations, see upcoming events, and get connected to other resources! All Penn State Altoona recognized student organizations are housed on this platform for you to explore. Organizations also manage their events and rosters here. In addition, a series of events and activities that offices and departments host will be advertised for students to attend.
You can access Connect using your Penn State email. All current Penn State Altoona students have access. The first time you sign in you will be prompted to complete a series of questions and then will be able to explore and manage your profile.
Tips and Suggestions
- On your homepage you'll find notifications, your memberships, upcoming events, and news.
- In the upper right corner by your icon, you'll find nine small squares that drop down into either explore or manage. Explore allows you to look at information. Manage allows you to create and edit in any organization's portal that you are a member. You will need to switch between these depending on your intention.
- For current organization officers - when the system migrated from OrgSync to Connect, the officers and entire organization profile were not transferred. This is a prime opportunity to update your organization's portal. If you still aren't able to edit anything as an officer but should be able to, you will need to ask the primary contact to assign positions. They've been contacted.
