Penn State Altoona Kids' College camps will be in-person for summer 2022.

Kids’ College camps this summer will be the weeks of July 5, July 11, July 18, and July 25. A complete listing of camps will be available the first week of March.

Thank you for your continued support of our programs. If you have any questions, please contact Debbie Flaig at 814-949-5041 or [email protected].

If you would like to be informed of the upcoming camps, sign up for our mailing list.

Camp Details

Upon registration you will receive a confirmation email. Two weeks before camp, you will receive a letter in the mail with information on when and where to report on the first day of camp along with any COVID-19 updates.

Early Bird Discount: Register by May 31 for a 10% discount on your entire bill. To receive the discount, enter EARLYPSU22 in the discount box for each camp at the time of registration. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked by May 31 for the discount to apply.

COVID-19 Policy: All instructors, counselors, and students are required to wear a mask while participating in camp. Pre-screening and social distancing may be required as well.

Scholarships: Each child in a family may attend one camp on a scholarship with the camp fee not to exceed $200. Submit your scholarship application at altoona.psu.edu/kids/scholarship. Scholarship money is limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis based on financial need. Deadline to apply is Tuesday, May 31.

Program Expectations/Releases: Children are expected to respect and be courteous to one another and all staff members. Disruptive or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. Incidents will be handled as follows: Incident One - warning and discussion with student; Incident Two - parent discussion; and Incident Three - student expelled from camp.

Limited Enrollment/Cancellation: Enrollment is limited so please register early to ensure a place in the camps. The University may cancel or postpone any camp because of insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. All cancellations made by participants at least five business days prior to the first day of camp will result in a refund, minus a $35 administrative fee per camp. Refund requests made after that will not be honored and the participant and/or sponsoring organization will be responsible for the entire fee.

Covid Protocols

All individuals, regardless of their vaccination status, are required to wear face masks while inside buildings on Penn State campuses. This applies to classrooms, meeting spaces, and other shared public indoor areas per Penn State policy. More information is available on virusinfo.psu.edu. Individuals are urged to wear well-fitting, multi-layered masks in accordance with the latest University and federal guidelines.
