Institutional Research
OPIR serves as the primary source for institutional data at Penn State Altoona. The office collects, analyzes, interprets, and reports data and information in support of institutional decision-making and policy formulation. We also assist campus stakeholders with the development, administration, and analysis of surveys.
OPIR provides comprehensive support for strategic planning at Penn State Altoona. We create templates for college-, division-, and unit-level planning and assist with the development and analysis of performance metrics. We also have expertise in the facilitation of strategic planning exercises.
OPIR works with the College’s assessment committee to coordinate institutional assessment activities. We also offer survey support and assist with program evaluation and the assessment of student learning outcomes.
OPIR promotes campus improvement efforts by providing data, change management, and planning consultation. We also collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration on the planning and implementation of campus-wide strategic initiatives.
