Penn State Altoona student-athletes in swimming named to SUNYAC Honor Roll

Penn State Altoona student-athlete Lexi Colaianni, of Pittsburgh, was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s Player of the Week in women’s tennis on Monday, Sept. 1.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Seventeen Penn State Altoona student-athletes on the men’s and women’s swimming teams earned academic accolades from their conference on June 17 when the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its 2025-26 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

To qualify, student-athletes must have cumulative grade-point averages of 3.3 or higher. The 17 Lions on the SUNYAC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll for the 2025-26 season are:

Women’s swimming:

  • Alexis Buchala, of Tamaqua, majoring in kinesiology
  • Sophia Cowher, of Tyrone, majoring in education
  • Julia Daley, of Langhorne, majoring in nursing
  • Emma Fraundorfer, of Altoona, majoring in accounting
  • Paige Goray, of Erie, majoring in kinesiology
  • Anna Heller, of Chesapeake, Virginia, majoring in biology
  • Ashley Moretz, of Bellefonte, majoring in nursing
  • Victoria Oldford, of Bucks County, majoring in kinesiology
  • Isabella Rhoades, of Tyrone, majoring in business management and marketing
  • Claire Smith, of Hellertown, majoring in biology

Men’s swimming:

  • Adam Dotts, of Hummelstown, majoring in communication
  • Ben Dotts, of Hummelstown, majoring in finance
  • Liam Fass, of Dingmans Ferry, majoring in cybersecurity
