
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Penn State Altoona men’s basketball guard Kaden Claar, of Portage, was awarded for his academics on July 17 when the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) named him to its 2024-25 Honors Court.
The NABC's Honors Court recognizes men's college basketball student-athletes from around the country who achieved success in the classroom. To be eligible, players must be juniors, seniors, or graduate students who finished the 2024-2025 academic year with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher.
Claar, a kinesiology major and rising senior at Penn State Altoona, started all 28 games last season for an 18-10 Lions team that reached the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship game. He averaged 12.6 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game, 2.0 assists per game, and 1.6 steals per game during his 2024-25 campaign.
