Laurel Pavilion, Penn State Altoona

Penn State Altoona’s Student Pathways to Undergraduate Research (SPUR) organization will host an Introduction to Undergraduate Research workshop on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. in the Laurel Pavilion.

Students will learn basic information about SPUR and the benefits of undergraduate research, including how it can play an integral part in their careers. Food and drinks will be provided.

The SPUR program is open to any student in any major. Events are held every two to four weeks to discuss the benefits of research, how to get involved, how to approach faculty for research positions, and how faculty view research. Students participating in the program are eligible for field trips, including to University Park’s Undergraduate Exhibition in the spring.
