Three people in the Penn State Altoona community will receive awards at the annual Blair County Historical Society Heritage Hall of Fame dinner on Sept. 26 at the Casino at Lakemont.

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona’s Alumni Society Board recently announced the launch of a new alumni mentoring program. The program will match current students with alumni mentors who have the same degree or a similar degree.
Once a match is made, the alumni mentor introduces themself to the student and establishes a plan for communications. Conversations can take place via Zoom, telephone or in person.
Students interested in participating in the program are encouraged to complete a registration form online.
