Penn State Altoona kicks off teaching and research series Sept. 27

Spotlight on Teaching and Research

Penn State Altoona’s Spotlight on Teaching and Research (STAR) lecture series continues this semester with a presentation by Dr. Danielle DelPriore and student Pamela Lantz. The pair will present on their research “Minority sexual orientation disclosures and parents’ reproductive concerns” at 12:05 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, in the Fireside Lounge of the Slep Student Center.

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona begins the 2022-23 Spotlight on Teaching and Research (STAR) series on Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 12:05 to 1:10 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge of the Slep Student Center. Juan Gil, professor of mathematics, and undergraduate research student Emma Hoover will present “The Art of Counting.”

The STAR series spotlights recent research endeavors by faculty and their undergraduate research students. The series is sponsored by Penn State Altoona's Office of Research and Engagement and Student Pathways to Undergraduate Research. This event is free, and lunch will be provided.
