- Attend your Advising Meeting.
Meet with your Academic Adviser about three times a semester. - Make an appointment with your adviser.
Find your adviser's name and contact information via the Adviser Information link on LionPATH and register via the appointment system. - Prepare for your appointment with your adviser.
- Get the Suggested Academic Plan for the major(s) you are considering.
- Obtain the degree audit(s) for the major(s) you are considering. Available on LionPATH as a "what if" report.
- Review requirements for the major(s) you are considering. Available in the Suggested Academic Plans, the Undergraduate Degree Programs Bulletin, or the University website.
- Make a list of all the possible courses you wish to take. Don't forget to consider entrance-to-major requirements, review courses, prerequisite courses, and General Education requirements.
- Make a list of questions to ask your adviser.
- Be prompt for your advising appointment.
- Provide accurate information regarding how you are doing this semester.
- Listen to your adviser's recommendations and suggestions.
- Register for your courses.
