English Senior Seminar participants presented their projects on Monday, Dec. 5, in the Mountain View Room of Port-Sky Café. Their presentations were based on the work they did in ENGL 487W taught by Professor Laura Rotunno. This year's theme was “Widening the Stories, Widening our Worlds."
More than 100 people attended the fall 2022 Hard Freight Café open mic event on Tuesday, November 29, in the Titelman Study of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Students and faculty performed music and shared poems, stories, and essays. Kicking off the evening was a reading by Yaw Agawu-Kakraba, professor of Spanish and African Studies, who read from his debut novel, The Restless Crucible.

The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference rounded out its 2021-22 All-Sportsmanship team on Wednesday, June 1, with the announcement of the sportsmanship picks from the league’s spring sports teams. Four Penn State Altoona student-athletes were selected.
