Penn State Altoona goalkeeper Adeline Baustert, of Apollo, was announced as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s Defensive Player of the Week in women’s soccer on Monday, Oct. 7. Baustert posted a pair of shutouts for the Lions last week, when the Penn State Altoona women’s soccer team added a win and a tie to its record.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited on a one-day bus trip to explore iconic Civil War landmarks in Maryland and West Virginia on Saturday, Oct. 12.

The day includes motorcoach transportation and admission to Antietam National Battlefield and Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, both sites of immeasurable importance and scenic grandeur.

“Flights of Fancy, and Other Modes of Transportation” will take place at 7:30 p.m. from Oct. 23 to 25 in the Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Singers and dancers populate this landscape which follows a trajectory of dreams where illusion and reality may meet.
