Penn State Altoona nursing major Alexis Christoff recently received a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Students from UPMC Altoona in recognition of the compassion and care she offered to a recovering patient.

Sponsored by the DAISY Foundation, an international recognition program, the award honors and celebrates nursing students for above and beyond care and compassion shown to patients and their families.

Garvin's presentation will offer an introduction to cyber security basics.

Penn State Altoona will host “Shattering” by Dr. Juhanna Rogers on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. A Q&A session will follow the performance.

“Shattering” is a one-woman performance exploring a journey of self-discovery. It follows a young girl, Nicole, as she grows and transforms into Juhanna, her true self.
