Penn State Altoona will host a performance by award-winning poet and storyteller Ebony Stewart at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 18, in the Pond View Lounge of the Slep Student Center.

Penn State Altoona will host a performance of "They Call Me Q" at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, in the Pond View Lounge of the Slep Student Center.

"They Call Me Q" tells the story of a girl from Bombay growing up in the Boogie Down Bronx who gracefully seeks balance between cultural pressure and acceptance into the American culture. Along the journey, Qurrat Ann Kadwani transforms into thirteen characters that have shaped her life, including her Indian parents, Caucasian teachers, Puerto Rican classmates, and Indian and African-American friends.

The 13th class of Sheetz Fellows was inducted during a formal ceremony on Saturday, Feb. 24. A competitive academic program, Sheetz Fellows offers unique opportunities that ignite and inspire the entrepreneurial mindset of students at Penn State Altoona by fostering critical thinking, ingenuity, leadership and problem-solving skills.
