New Student Orientation for International Students, also known as International Student Orientation, is made up of three steps. You are required to attend all steps to complete your onboarding process with Penn State. Please see below for details.

It is highly recommended that you pick December 11, 2023, as course selection will be better than January 2, 2024.
Step 1: Virtual Orientation

Step 2: Virtual Academic Advising
After attending Step 1, you will schedule your Virtual Academic Advising appointment. Please follow the instructions on the page to schedule a time that works for you.
Please be sure to complete the ALEKS math test, course planning guide, and transfer credit worksheet (if applicable) before your advising appointment.
- If your virtual orientation date is December 11, 2023, your appointments are visible in Starfish on December 11, 2023, and virtual appointments are available December 13–15, 2023.
- If your virtual orientation date is January 2, 2024, your appointments are visible in Starfish on January 2, 2023, and virtual appointments are available January 3–5, 2024.
