New Student Orientation for International Students (Also known as International Student Orientation) is made up of three steps. You are required to attend all steps to complete your onboarding process with Penn State. Please see below for details.

It is highly recommended that you pick June 9 or July 13 as course selection will be better than August 8.
Step 1: Virtual Orientation

Step 2: Virtual Academic Advising
After attending Step 1, you will schedule your Virtual Academic Advising appointment. Please follow the instructions on the page to schedule a time that works for you.
Please be sure to complete the ALEKS math test, course planning guide, and transfer credit worksheet (if applicable) before your advising appointment.
- If your orientation date is June 9, appointments are visible in Starfish on June 9 at 5:00 p.m. (ET), and virtual appointments are available on June 14, 15, and 16.
- If your orientation date is July 13, appointments are visible in Starfish on July 14 at 5:00 p.m. (ET), and virtual appointments are available on July 19, 20, and 21.
- If your orientation date is August 8, appointments are visible in Starfish on August 11 at 5:00 p.m. (ET), and virtual appointments are available on August 16, 17, and 18.

Step 3: On-campus Orientation
Please complete the On-campus Orientation Registration Form before Friday, August 11.
