“Human Resources: A Staged Reading” will be performed on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.

“Human Resources” is a collection of documentary poetry by Erin Murphy, professor of English at Penn State Altoona. Directed by Jonathan O’Harrow, director of Strategic Communications at the college, the staged reading will feature performances of selections from the book.

The poems in “Human Resources” focus on global, national, and historical labor matters, voiced by factory and migrant farm workers, fast food employees, rescue personnel, and others.
