Penn State Altoona’s Office of Residence Life is inviting students to apply for Resident Assistant (RA) positions in the residence halls. The opportunity is for students who want to get more involved on campus, build leadership skills and support fellow residents while receiving free residence hall housing and a meal plan.

Resident Assistants are student leaders and peer mentors who live in the residence halls. Through community-building, mentorship and day-to-day support, RAs help residents navigate their collegiate journey and create a welcoming, connected living environment.

The RA application process opens Monday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m. and closes Sunday, Oct. 4, at 11:59 p.m. To be eligible, students must attend at least one RA information session. All sessions will take place in the Pond View Lounge of the Slep Student Center, and students should RSVP through DiscoverWest.

Information Sessions:

Students with questions about the RA role or application process are encouraged to contact Greg Tyrrell, director of residence life, at [email protected].
