Students who participated in Penn State Altoona’s 2025 Alternative Spring Break Excursion will present on their experiences Tuesday, April 8, at 12:10 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge of the Slep Student Center.
In partnership with Community Collaborations International, several Penn State Altoona students participated in an eight-day service-learning trip by visiting the El Yunque National Forest, Puerto Rico. They participated in conservation projects and a disaster relief and resiliency project in the local community. They also visited the Boys and Girls Club, helping with homework, assisting with recreational activities, and helping youth practice speaking English.
Stop by to hear students recount what they did, saw, and experienced.
