Penn State Altoona will offer several information sessions about the 2025 alternative spring break trip to Puerto Rico throughout the fall semester.
This alternative spring break is an eight-day excursion during which students will experience service-learning by visiting the El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico. They will also participate in conservation projects and a disaster relief and resiliency project in the local community.
In addition, participants will work with the Boys and Girls Club, helping with homework, assisting with recreational activities, and helping youth practice their English. Students will also have the opportunity to explore the region's culture.
The trip will take place from March 8 through 15, 2025.
