Penn State Altoona’s Student Pathways to Undergraduate Research (SPUR) hosted the second STAR series lecture of the fall 2023 semester on Thursday, Nov. 7. Dr. Sandy Petrulionis and her undergraduate research student Emera Gregor presented their research “A Century of Reform: Writing the Long Life of Thomas Wentworth Higginson.”

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona’s Student Pathways to Undergraduate Research (SPUR) hosted the second STAR series lecture of the fall 2023 semester on Nov. 7.

Sandy Petrulionis and her undergraduate research student Emera Gregor presented their research “A Century of Reform: Writing the Long Life of Thomas Wentworth Higginson.” The talk highlighted the cultural biography of Higginson, and Emera explained her research concerning the transcription of Higginson’s correspondence.

The Spotlight on Teaching and Research (STAR) series highlights faculty and student involvement in research and encourages students to get involved in undergraduate research.
