ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona’s Student Pathways to Undergraduate Research (SPUR) organization will host an Introduction to Undergraduate Research workshop at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, in the Laurel Pavilion.

The event will include a short presentation followed by discipline-specific groupings for lab tours. Dinner will be provided.

The SPUR program is open to any student in any major. Events are held every two to four weeks to discuss the benefits of research, how to get involved, how to approach faculty for research positions, and how faculty view research. Students who participate in the program are eligible for field trips, including to University Park’s Undergraduate Exhibition in the spring.
