ALTOONA – Penn State Altoona will showcase choreographic works by students completing the dance minor at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 28, in the dance studio of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.

Dancers from Penn State Altoona’s Ivyside Dance Ensemble will perform solos, duos, and group numbers choreographed by the students of Dance 466: Contemporary Movement Lab III.

In addition, four solos created through Dance 472: Introduction to Laban Movement Analysis, will be performed. These solos are built on the “Effort Qualities" identified and codified by Rudolf Laban, which lends a theoretical basis for movement expression.
