Penn State Altoona will offer four information sessions about the 2023 alternative spring break trip to Puerto Rico.
ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona will offer four information sessions about the 2023 alternative spring break trip to Puerto Rico. Information sessions will take place in the Learning Resources Center, 125B Eiche Library on the following dates:
- Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 5 to 5:45 p.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 10, from 12:15 to 1 p.m.
- Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 5 to 5:45 p.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 17, from 12:15 to 1 p.m.
This alternative spring break is an eight-day excursion in which students will experience service-learning by visiting the El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico. Students will participate in conservation projects and a disaster relief and resiliency project in the local community. In addition, participants will work with the Boys and Girls Club and have the opportunity to explore the region's culture.
