Jerry Zolten recently spoke to students at Dixie State University and took part in a question and answer forum in conjunction with a screening of his film How They Got Over: Gospel Quartets and the Road to Rock 'n' Roll at the DocUtah International Film Festival. The film was among those that took top honors at the festival. Upcoming screenings of the film include at Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh on November 7 and festivals in Baltimore, Atlanta, Olympia, Washington, Phoenix, and London, England. A spring screening sponsored by the Grammy Awards organization is in the works for Los Angeles.
Zolten is a professor in communication arts and sciences and integrative arts.
