Steve Sherrill's latest book, "The Minotaur Takes His Own Sweet Time," was recently reviewed in The New York Times. The book is a sequel to Sherrill's first novel, "The Minotaur Takes a Cigarette Break." Sherrill, associate professor of English and integrative arts at Penn State Altoona.
Penn State Altoona's fall theatre performance, "Love and Whiskey," will take place Oct. 27-29 in the Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. The play is set in North Carolina during the Great Depression and revolves around Lucy Mae, a woman in her 30s striving to become the woman she wants to be. Tickets are $5 for Penn State Altoona students and $7 for general admission.
The Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State is partnering with Penn State Altoona to present two free public programs featuring the music ensemble the Sphinx Virtuosi on Sept. 28.
