Twenty-seven Penn State Altoona students who have been studying French, German and Spanish, were recognized by the college’s World Language Program for their outstanding performance this semester during a luncheon on April 25.
Innovation TestLab, a multi-week program for high school students, offers participants the opportunity to experience a college classroom setting while learning concepts such as customer discovery, research and feasibility studies, critical thinking and presentation skills.
The Craft It, Pitch It, Win It competition, offered by the Altoona LaunchBox supported by the Hite family and the Penn State Altoona Sheetz Fellows Program, was held on April 10. Finalists presented to a panel of three judges about a business or product and their plans to implement new marketing strategies.
Penn State Altoona will host an open dance class from 1 to 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, in the Dance Studio, room 148 of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. The free class is open to anyone over the age of 18 and will feature movement and engagement through modern dance technique and improvisation. Dancers of all levels, styles, backgrounds and experiences are welcome.
