Wills for Heroes returns to Penn State Altoona

In partnership with the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division and the Blair County Bar Association, Penn State Altoona and its Criminal Justice Organization will offer a Wills for Heroes program from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 9 in the Cypress Building on campus.

Michael Lowery, chief of police and safety at Penn State Altoona, has been named the interim director and chief of University Police and Public Safety at University Park, effective Jan. 7, according to David Gray, senior vice president for Finance and Business.

Penn State uses digital building automation systems to boost sustainability

More than 350 buildings on campus are connected to and controlled by a building automation system, which uses a secure computer network to centralize the remote monitoring and control of electricity, lighting, plumbing, ventilation, air conditioning and other environmental systems. Many Penn State campuses across the state, including Harrisburg, Altoona and Erie, The Behrend College, also use digital automation systems for managing building settings.
