Penn State Altoona will offer a "Breakfast and Learn" presentation by Larry Garvin, instructor in information sciences and technology, from 8 to 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, in room 201 of the Sheetz Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence. Garvin's presentation will offer an introduction to cybersecurity basics.
Nicole Flanders, a third-year biology student at Penn State Altoona, will offer a research presentation at the February general meeting of the Spring Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
“Shattering” is a one-woman performance exploring a journey of self-discovery. It follows a young girl, Nicole, as she grows and transforms into Juhanna, her true self. Penn State Altoona will host the performance at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25, in the Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.
Penn State Altoona student-athlete Madison Coleman was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s Women’s Swimmer of the Week on Monday, Jan. 15. Coleman recorded two individual first-place finishes while being part of one relay first place to help the Lions defeat Division II opponent Lock Haven University 118-117 on the road this past Saturday, Jan. 13.
Penn State Altoona will host an art faculty and staff exhibition from Jan. 11 through Feb. 8 in the Sheetz Gallery of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
Students, faculty and staff across all Penn State campuses will now have free access to virtual technology programming provided by the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania (TCCP), thanks to a newly expanded partnership with TCCP spearheaded by Penn State Harrisburg, a longtime member of the council.
