Penn State Altoona to present 'They Call Me Q' March 12

"They Call Me Q" tells the story of a girl from Bombay growing up in the Boogie Down Bronx who gracefully seeks balance between cultural pressure and acceptance into American culture. Along the journey, Qurrat Ann Kadwani transforms into 13 characters that have shaped her life, including her Indian parents, Caucasian teachers, Puerto Rican classmates, and Indian and African-American friends.

Three Altoona student-athletes named to All-AMCC Women’s Basketball Team

Three members of Penn State Altoona women’s basketball team were voted to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference team. Forward Avana Sayles, of Venetia, was voted to the second team of the All-AMCC squad, while guard/forward Jaidyn McCracken, of Bellwood, and guard Jordan Bisignani, of Pittsburgh, were both third-team selections.
