Penn State Altoona baseball lost a high-scoring affair with No. 1 Johns Hopkins University on Friday, May 19, falling 23-9 to the Blue Jays in the Baltimore Region of the NCAA Division III Tournament at Babb Field at Stromberg Stadium.

After the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships on Wednesday at Keene Trace Golf Club, the Penn State Altoona men’s golf team finished in 34th place out of 43 teams. Jack DiTrani of Hinsdale, Illinois, was Penn State Altoona’s top finisher on the player leaderboard, tying for 76th place out of 221 individual golfers. DiTrani shot 76 on the par 72 course Wednesday, recording a two-round score of 149.

The Penn State Altoona baseball team saw a program-record seven players voted to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s all-conference team, as the league released its postseason awards list on Tuesday, May 16.

The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference announced its postseason softball awards on Tuesday, May 16, and eight Penn State Altoona student-athletes were voted to spots on the all-conference team, tying for the most in program history.
