Students in Penn State Altoona's Rail Engineering Program work with total stations as part of RTE 302: Railroad Track Location, Construction and Maintenance. The Everett Railroad Company provided track time for this railroad track lab course. The tracks are always properly safe-guarded by the railroad and a job safety briefing is conducted before each lab class.
