It was a successful Move-in Day for Penn State Altoona on August 23, 2019, as we greeted and helped 734 first-year students move into their residence hall rooms. The college welcomed the class of 2023 with fun events and activities throughout Welcome Weekend including academic convocation, volunteer activities, Playfair, a class photo, tie-dying, lawn games, crafts, and Casino Night.

Penn State Altoona held its fall 2019 commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 21, in the Adler Athletic Complex.
Nearly 75 students participated in the ceremony. Richard DeDonato, a 1977 alumnus, delivered the keynote address. DeDonato has held marketing and advertising positions with numerous companies throughout his career, including his current position with Ecolab. He also is the author of a series of children's books.
