Students Advocating for Disability Awareness at Penn State Altoona held a “Spread the Word to End the Word” banner-signing event March 1 in the Hawthorn Building to kick off intellectual disability awareness month. SADA's primary mission is to create inclusive environments on campus and in local communities for people with disabilities.

Faculty book on Houston's Astrodome wins 2017 SABR Seymour Medal

"The Eighth Wonder of the World: The Life of Houston's Iconic Astrodome," written by Robert Trumpbour, associate professor of communications at Penn State Altoona, and Kenneth Womack, has received the 2017 Dr. Harold and Dorothy Seymour Medal, which honors the best book of baseball history or biography published during the preceding calendar year.
