- March 2016 – Organized a faculty/staff Seminar Forest walk.
- April 2016 – Co-sponsored the First Annual Birding Classic; portion of the registration fees were donated to the Sustainability Council on behalf of the Juniata Audubon Society.
- April 2016 – Spring Run Clean-up, co-organized with the Little Juniata River Association, pulled 132 bags of trash out of the Spring Run stream on campus.
- September 2016 – Star Series speaker, Dr. Lisa Emili, speaks to the campus community on “Getting Out and Doing It! Experiential Learning in Environmental Studies”
- September 2016 – Students from the Environmental Coalition plant native species in the campus Rain Garden. Plants were donated as part of the Grant Pollinator Garden through Keep America Beautiful and our sustainability partner, IRC.
- October 2016 – “Cabin Fever” Fridays was a successful “open house” at the Thoreau Cabin, Seminar Forest held Fridays in October.
- October 2016 – Students from CNED 100 assisted the Sustainability Council in an effort to bring awareness to our Outdoor Recycling program on campus, by engaging students near high traffic recycling areas.
