- January 2015 – Sustainability Council sponsors Center For Undergraduate Research Webinar “Undergraduate Research in Service of Sustainability: Toward A National Agenda”.
- February 2015 – Sustainability Council “What’s Faith Got to Do With It?” workshop with PA Interfaith Power and Light’s Cricket Hunter.
- April 2015 – ENVST 200 class uses USEED crowd-funding platform to raise funds for a permanent fire pit at the Seminar Forest.
- April 2015 – Sustainability Strategic Plan for Penn State Altoona is completed.
- April 2015 – Sustainability Council sponsored showing of the documentary film Plastics Paradise” at Eco-Action sponsored Earth Day event.
- July 2015 – Phase 1 construction of the permanent hearth of the Seminar Forest fire pit, with stone seating for 20 is installed by Landscape II.
- October 2015 – Penn State Altoona is the first Commonwealth campus to recognize faculty contributions to the college’s programs to increase Sustainability on the Faculty Annual Review (FAR).
- November 2015 – The Sustainability Council hires its first group of wage paid students to assist in maintenance of the Seminar Forest for recreational use.
