- January 2014 – “Companions in Wonder” with author Susan Cohen; a co-sponsored event with Environmental Studies and open to students.
- February 2014 – Expansion of outdoor recycling proposal submitted by Lisa Emili is awarded a CDF award. Six outdoor trash containers are retrofitted to receive both waste and recyclables.
- March 2014 – Sustainability Council “Local Foods” workshop held for faculty and staff. Credit is given towards SRDP.
- May 2014 – Intern Sean Fettrow submits Eco Action Representative Program proposal to increase peer to peer recycling education in residence halls. Housing and Food Services implements in-room recycling.
- May 2014 – Sustainability Council chairperson and campus Sustainability Coordinator, Lisa Emili, becomes Penn’s Woods Fellow.
- September 2014 – Sustainability Council holds first outdoor workshop at the farmer’s market: “Eating Your Way to a Sustainability Food System”. Guest speaker Carrie Lyons (RDN) discusses eating your ‘rainbow’ with samples fresh from the market.
