Poems by Todd Davis, professor of English and environmental studies at Penn State Altoona, have received recognition from The Academy of American Poets and "The North American Review."

ALTOONA, Pa. — A poem by Todd Davis, professor of English and environmental studies at Penn State Altoona, was featured by The Academy of American Poets in their "Poem-a-Day" series. His poem "How She Heard It," can be read or listened to online.

Davis also has been named a finalist for the James Hearst Poetry Prize from "The North American Review" for his poem "The Teachings of ‘Crotalus horridus,’ or Love as a Charm of Protection in Appalachia."
