All Penn State Altoona first-year students are required to complete two online educational modules before they begin classes.
SAFE (Student Alcohol Feedback and Education)
This one-hour online program provides information about the psychological effects of alcohol, Penn State alcohol policies and related consequences, and state and local laws related to alcohol consumption. Alcohol is a significant issue in the lives of students on college campuses across the country. Incoming first-year students will receive information on SAFE in July. There will also be a follow-up survey in which students will receive additional information. Check out more information about SAFE.
Penn State AWARE is a relationship and sexual violence awareness-learning module. It is a 45-minute program designed to help students learn the facts about relationship violence, sexual violence, stalking, and sexual harassment as well as develop practical skills to help keep you and your friends safe.
Incoming first-year students will receive information on AWARE in July. Check out more information about AWARE.
