Penn State Altoona’s College 2 Career (C2C) Work-Based Learning Program is a partnership with employers dedicated to bringing the classroom and workplace together. This win-win collaboration helps students gain a real-world education while employers build a talent pipeline and a robust regional workforce.
Across the full four years of their undergraduate experience, students learn through integrating academic coursework with three work experiences and relevant career development training. Exploratory students and transfer students are eligible to participate in work-based learning, too. Employers benefit because our students are not just prepared for the workplace; they’ve been there. They graduate with both a diploma and a résumé!
The Consortium of C2C Employers consists of companies that partner with Penn State Altoona to offer internship experiences and give valuable feedback on student preparation. Penn State Altoona provides employers with assistance with posting positions, recruiting students, and managing interns during their work-based experiences.
The College 2 Career: Work-Based Learning Program is slated to launch in fall 2026!
