Summer 2023 Camps
Little Lions Co-ed Basketball Camp $125
Ages 6–8
Monday–Thursday, June 5–8, from 9:00 a.m.–noon
Instructor: David McGreal, Head Mens Basketball Coach
Led by Penn State Altoona men’s head basketball coach, David McGreal, this camp will focus on a fun introduction to the game of basketball. Assistant men’s basketball coach Arin Wade and current/past members of the men’s and women’s basketball teams will also be offering instruction and insight. There will be demonstrations, instruction, drills, and fun games to work on the fundamentals of basketball. Lower lengthened hoops will be utilized during this camp. Each participant will receive a Penn State Altoona basketball t-shirt. There will also be a camp store where campers may purchase drinks, snacks, etc.
Lions Youth Co-ed Basketball Camp $175
Ages 9–14
Monday–Thursday, June 5–8, from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Instructor: David McGreal, Head Mens Basketball Coach
Led by Penn State Altoona’s men’s head basketball coach, David McGreal, this camp will focus on the fundamentals and skills of basketball. There will be lectures, demonstrations, instruction, drills, and daily individual contests. Assistant men’s basketball coach Arin Wade and current/past members of the men’s and women’s basketball teams will also be offering instruction and insight. Each participant will receive a Penn State Altoona basketball t-shirt. No lunch is provided so campers must pack their own lunch. There will also be a camp store where campers may purchase drinks, snacks, etc.
Lady Lions Youth Basketball Clinic $100
Ages 11–14
Tuesday–Thursday, July 11–13, from 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Instructor: Halee Adams, Head Women's Basketball Coach
This three-day clinic will be led by Penn State Altoona Women’s Basketball Head Coach Halee and her Assistant Coach Mark Sapita, and incoming/current/past members of the women’s basketball team. The camp includes lectures, demonstrations, instructions, team play, and daily individual contests to help improve basketball skills. Each participant will receive a Penn State Altoona Basketball Camp t-shirt.
Lions Women's Basketball ID Clinic $45
Ages 14–18
Sunday, September 10, from 1:00–4:00 p.m.
Instructor: Halee Adams, Head Women's Basketball Coach
This Lions Women’s Basketball ID Clinic is a one-day clinic hosted by Penn State Altoona Women’s Basketball Head Coach Halee Adams. Coach Adams will lead the clinic to create a beneficial glimpse into the life of a women’s basketball student-athlete. The clinic will incorporate individual skill development along with team practice drills to give each camper the feel of what it is like to go through a college-level practice and individual workout. This clinic is for girls in tenth grade to twelfth grade interested in continuing to develop their basketball skills and gaining insight into collegiate-level practice and skill development. Prior camp and playing experience are recommended.
